"The city of predators" started on the screens in the distant 2009, and during that time managed to catch the fancy of TV viewers and take strong positions in the list of their favorite TV shows. We love this "gang" for a sense of humor, love of wine, a fun game of "bank", and, of course, we are crazy about the kitchens Jules and Ellie. The series’s decorator is Archie D’Amico, who previously worked with many TV shows, including “Ugly Betty,” which explains the interior refinement and its impeccability. We are our own decorators, and therefore we will manage on our own in the struggle for comfort!
Kitchens "predators" - planning and design
The houses of the series’s heroines are made in a relaxed coastal American style, with lots of light and bright details. The first thing that strikes the eye of Jules and Ally’s apartments are floral prints literally everywhere!
We remember that the series is shot in the ever-flowering state of Florida, so that the design of the rooms echoes the nature around. A lot of bright spots, including in the kitchen, set up a playful mood and raise the mood. In Russia, these decorating techniques will warm the hosts with long (and in some regions very long!) Winters and remind of the sun and summer.
At Jules, we see simple walls the color of an egg-shell, working surfaces made of stone and chrome-plated kitchen appliances - everything suggests that this is the kitchen of a modern successful woman. The charm and wit of the main character reflected the decor - paintings, bright fruit in vases, textiles, flowers and plants.
At Ellie, the interior of the house and kitchen is designed in a gentle and feminine variation of country style. The walls are decorated with wallpaper, the floor is practical tiles, furniture and accessories made from natural materials, the basic color of the interior is lime green, and the accents are warm pastel shades that are so contrary to its nature!
In the kitchens of both Jules and Ellie, in addition to the dining areas, there are bar stools that adjoin the kitchen island - so friends can simultaneously chat and drink their favorite wine while one of them is cooking. If your kitchen is limited in size, then high chairs will be an excellent alternative to the usual table and chairs, without which you can easily do.
But on these frames you can clearly see the Jules dinner group: a round glass table top on metal forged legs and wicker chairs, and under them is a carpet in the color of the walls.

If you liked the bar stools at Jules, then go forward to Ikea, they are just from there. The model is called Henriksdal, and if desired, the chairs can be sheathed with a fabric to your taste. In the series it was the fabric of the company Duralee, but in a similar style you can find many others.
The main thing is floral motifs and pastel colors! For example, the site Spoonflower, which, by the way, delivers to Russia, simply amazes with a variety! On this site, many designers expose their prints, and everyone can purchase original fabric, thus helping the author's independent business. Easy navigation through colors and tags will make choosing a little easier. We liked the Blue Yardley fabric and the delicate green fabric in the small lily of the valley with the talking name Lily of the Valley.
If you like variety, you can choose wooden chairs like Ally’s and change pillows from time to time. We found a similar chair in Ikea (model Ingolf), and pillows for every taste can be found on the Etsy website.
We love the combination of pastel green and soft pink at Ellie’s house, and if you decide to go the same way, you will like the cushions on the chairs that we found. For example, a whole set of textiles for the kitchen in soft colors here and pillows in pastel pink stripes here.
Speaking of pillows. We know that our readers are sensitive not only to the design of the kitchen, but also to the interior of the whole house. Many have sunk into the soul decorative pillows on the sofas, so we decided to find something similar. Milk & Cookies (Etsy) came to help us in the search with an abundance of pillows for every taste.
The pillows are almost exactly the same as Ellie's - green and red, on a white sofa will look breathtakingly!

Space Zoning - Learning from Jules and Ally
The heroines of the series kitchen, dining and living merged in one space, let's see how Jules and Ellie demarcated these zones.
In order to share her combined kitchen-living room, Ellie designed the “kitchen” part with striped wallpaper, and the part where the sofa and the dining area is located - with wallpaper of the same shade, but without patterns. In addition, the living room area is bounded by a carpet, the dining group is lit by a large chandelier-chandelier, and the island is smaller.
Jules also put the carpet on the floor in the living room, and the ceiling in the kitchen made a two-level. Pay attention to large plants - in the houses of both heroines they play the role of delimiters.
Cougar Town decor and accessories
Interior letters on the wall, forming the word "Eat" (eat, eat - English), are a very bright accent. Those that hang on the wall at Jules are from Antropologie, where they have long since ended just in this version. But on their website there are many other options, including sheathed with fabric, as in the series. You can see all interior letters there upon request in the search box “Monogram letters”.
Pictures, statues, lamps, candles, textiles and plants - this is what creates comfort and reflects the character of the hostess of the house. Let's take a closer look at the details of the interiors of two friends.
The heroes of the series are well known to us for the love of wine, and for Jules this love is expressed in a special way - she gives names to huge glasses from which she drinks wine. We remember Big Joe, Karl, Kimo, Lou, and Tippi, who apparently replaced each other so often just because of their hostess's excessive love for wine. If you are too lazy to constantly pour wine into a glass, you can follow the example of Jules in choosing a vessel.
In general, it is rather difficult to find such large glasses, and in the series small vases, candlesticks and interior glasses for corks were used - a real scope for imagination!
In addition, wine lovers will enjoy the original solutions for storing wine corks. Usually these are just large glass goblets, but why not hang a transparent box of the appropriate design on the wall? On the Etsy website you can find a whole lot by the request of "Wine cork holder"!

Well, if the consumption of wine in your home is not as industrial as in the TV series “City of Predators”, then pay attention to this small box with the characteristic phrase “Keep calm and drink wine” (Keep calm and drink wine - English).
